“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” – Romans 8:1 (NIV)
Devotional Message- Day 22
Spiritual guilt can feel heavy.
You miss a few days of reading your Bible… you snap at someone… your prayers feel dry… and suddenly that voice whispers: “You’ve failed. Again.”
But here’s what Scripture says:
There is no condemnation for those in Christ.
That voice of shame? That’s not Jesus.
Jesus convicts—but never condemns.
Conviction leads to growth. Condemnation leads to hiding.
If you’re carrying guilt today—for inconsistency, spiritual dryness, a bad decision—bring it to the One who already paid for it.
You don’t have to earn your way back into God’s presence.
You’re already welcome there.
Letting go of guilt doesn’t mean you don’t care—it means you’re choosing to live in grace, not self-punishment.
You are not a project to fix.
You’re a child already loved.
Reflection Prompt
Is there any spiritual guilt you're carrying right now? What truth from Romans 8:1 can you speak over that guilt today?
Prayer
Lord, I’ve let guilt keep me from You. I confess my mistakes, but I refuse to carry shame. Thank You for grace that welcomes me again and again. Help me live in the freedom You’ve already given. Amen.
Closer Still – Action Step
Write down one thing you’ve been feeling guilty about spiritually. Then, next to it, write this truth: “There is no condemnation for me in Christ.” Say it out loud. Then throw that guilt away—literally.
