Trusting God With Your Mess
He's more interested in your honest heart than your perfect performance.
Listen to Today's Devotional
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. — 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
You show up with gratitude and peace.
You show up with anxiety, fear, frustration, and questions.
Somewhere along the way, many of us were taught to "clean it up" before we come to God. But God isn't afraid of your mess. He doesn't need you to filter your feelings, polish your prayers, or pretend everything is okay. He wants the real you.
- He already knows your doubts
- He already sees your struggle
- He is not surprised by your pain
- He is not judging, irritated, or shocked
Perfection. Polished faith. Filtered prayers.
Surrender. Childlike honesty. The real you.
So today, come to Him with whatever you're carrying. Unload it. Say it ugly. Cry if you need to.
He's not judging. He's not irritated. He's not shocked.
He's listening.And He cares.
What mess are you carrying that you've been trying to manage on your own? What would it look like to lay it all at God's feet today?
Father, I don't have the right words today. But You already know. I bring You the mess I've been trying to carry alone. Teach me to trust You with the raw and unfiltered parts of me. Thank You for being gentle with what I can't fix. Amen.
Write out everything you're afraid to tell God — your anger, fears, sin, doubts. Then read it aloud in prayer and say:
"Here it is, Lord. I trust You with it."Let's Talk
