Day 10 – God Is Not Mad at You
✦ Scripture Focus

The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. — Psalm 103:8 (NIV)

📖
Devotional Message

Have you ever felt like God was disappointed in you? Maybe you didn't pray yesterday. Maybe you messed up again. Maybe you've been distant for a while — and now, you avoid Him out of shame. Deep down, you wonder if He's tired of forgiving you. You assume He's probably angry.

What fear says...

"He must be tired of forgiving me by now."

What Psalm 103 says...

Compassionate. Gracious. Slow to anger. Abounding in love.

He doesn't hold grudges. He doesn't keep a scoreboard. His mercy is new every morning — not because you earned it, but because it's who He is.

  • Roll His eyes when you walk into prayer late
  • Sigh when you say "sorry" again
  • Keep score of your failures
  • Wait for you to be worthy before He welcomes you

Yes, God is holy. Yes, He corrects and disciplines out of love. But wrath toward sin is not the same as resentment toward you. Through Christ, your debt is settled. His anger was satisfied at the cross.

Silence the voice of fear that says, "God's mad at me."

And listen for the voice of love that says,

"Come home."

🤍 Reflection Prompt

Do you ever assume God is disappointed in you? What truth from Scripture can help you replace that fear with love?

🙏 Today's Prayer

Father, I've been afraid to face You. I've assumed You were angry with me. But Your Word says You're slow to anger and full of love. Teach me to rest in Your compassion, not run from it. Amen.

✅ Closer Still — Action Step

Write down one reason you've felt God might be upset with you. Cross it out and write over it:

"God is slow to anger and rich in love."

Keep it somewhere you'll see it this week.
