Freedom from Performance Faith
You are not an employee trying to impress a boss โ you're a beloved child resting in grace.
Listen to Today's Devotional
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. โ Galatians 5:1 (NIV)
Do you ever feel like your relationship with God is based on how well you're doing?
- You pray consistently โ so you feel close. Skip a few days โ suddenly you feel unworthy.
- You serve faithfully โ but wonder if you're doing "enough."
- You mess up โ and feel like you have to earn your way back in.
That's not freedom. That's performance faith. And it's not what Jesus died for.
"Try harder, then God will love you."
"You're already loved. Now let that love transform you."
Let go of the pressure.
Tear up the invisible scorecard.
You don't have to earn what's already been freely given.

Jesus came to break those chains.
You are loved. You are free.
You are fully accepted in Christ.
Are there areas in your faith walk where you feel pressure to "perform" for God? What would it look like to replace that pressure with rest in His grace?
Jesus, I've been trying to earn what You already gave. Forgive me for striving. Teach me to live from love โ not for it. Set me free from performance and anchor me in Your grace. Amen.
Write down three ways you've been trying to "perform" spiritually. Then next to each one, write a truth from God's Word that reminds you:
"I am loved, free, and fully accepted in Christ."Let's Talk
