Creating a Sacred Space
You were never created for nonstop movement โ you were created for sacred connection.
Listen to Today's Devotional
Be still, and know that I am God. โ Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
In a world of noise, stillness feels unnatural. We fill every gap with scrolling, multitasking, and background sound. But stillness isn't silence for the sake of quiet โ it's space where the soul can breathe, listen, and connect.
Sacred space isn't just about the location โ it's about intention.
That chair by the window where you meet with God
The corner where you journal your prayers
Your car before work
A lit candle that says, "This moment belongs to Him"
Pause instead of rush
Listen instead of fill the silence
Reflect instead of react
Be โ instead of constantly do
You don't need a cathedral to encounter the Holy One.
You need a willing heart and a quiet place.
Where in your life do you intentionally create space to meet with God? What distractions could you remove to make that time more meaningful?
Father, the world is noisy and my soul is weary. Help me carve out sacred space to rest and be with You. Teach me to be still โ and to know You more deeply in the quiet. Amen.
Identify one place in your home or schedule where you can meet with God daily. Add a small item to make it feel intentional โ then begin using it, even for just 5 minutes a day.
