💭 Commentary
There's something deeply comforting about the fact that God specifically targets the weary and the weak. He doesn't say He gives strength to those who already have it together or increases the power of those who are already strong. He meets us precisely at the point of our exhaustion and insufficiency.
Weariness is real. It's not a spiritual failure or a sign of weak faith. It's the honest condition of people who have been carrying heavy loads, fighting long battles, and pressing through difficult seasons. Maybe you're weary from a situation that never seems to change. Maybe you're tired of praying for the same thing with no visible answer. Maybe life has simply worn you down and you're running on empty.
This verse is God's direct response to that kind of exhaustion. He doesn't say try harder, push through, or pull yourself together. He says I will give you what you don't have. He gives strength, meaning it's not something you manufacture or work up. It's something He supplies. And He increases the power of the weak, meaning your weakness is actually the qualification, not the disqualifier. The weaker you are, the more room there is for His power to work in you.

🙏 Prayer
"Lord, I am weary. I don't have the strength to keep going the way I have been. But today I'm reminded that my weakness is not a problem for You. It's an invitation for Your power to show up in my life. Give me the strength I cannot manufacture on my own. Increase my power where I feel most depleted. I receive Your strength today and choose to stop striving in my own effort. You are more than enough. Amen."
