💭 Commentary
There are three powerful promises packed into this one verse, and each one is worth slowing down to appreciate. First, God makes known the path of life. You're not wandering aimlessly trying to figure out your purpose or your next step. God reveals the way forward. He guides you. He shows you the path that leads to real, abundant life, not just existence but life with meaning and purpose.
Second, He fills you with joy in His presence. Notice where the joy comes from. Not from getting what you want. Not from circumstances going your way. The joy comes from being in God's presence. This is why people who have nothing by the world's standards can still overflow with joy, while people who have everything can be miserable. Joy isn't found in what you accumulate or achieve. It's found in proximity to God. The closer you are to Him, the more joy you experience.
Third, eternal pleasures are at His right hand. This isn't about delayed gratification where you suffer now and enjoy later. Being at God's right hand is both a present reality and a future promise. Right now, in this moment, you have access to lasting satisfaction that the world can't offer. And eternally, you'll experience pleasures that never fade, never disappoint, and never end. The path God shows you doesn't just lead somewhere good eventually. It's good right now because it leads you into His presence where true joy is found.

🙏 Prayer
"Lord, thank You for not leaving me to wander through life without direction. Make known to me the path of life. Show me where You're leading and give me courage to follow. Teach me to find my joy in Your presence, not in my circumstances. Help me to see that being close to You is better than anything else I could pursue. Fill me with the kind of joy and satisfaction that only comes from being with You. I trust that Your path leads to real life. Amen."
